“Det finnes hjelp” (translated: help available) is directed at individuals with a sexual attraction towards minors and no prior charges and ongoing investigations for sexual offending.
“NY KURS” (translated: new direction) is meant for individuals with prior charges for sexual offending and a broad range of problematic sexual behavior. Patients can be imprisoned at the beginning of the treatment, but have to be able to meet to sessions at their clinic. No ongoing investigations.
“BASIS” (Norwegian acronym) is meant for individuals with a STATIC-score of 4 and above. Patients will be imprisoned at the beginning of the treatment.

Who is this service for?

People over the age of 18 with a sexual interest in children, who have a self-identified risk, and who want help to avoid acting on their sexual interest.
The treatment offer is also open to people with a previous criminal history, but does not accept people who are currently under investigation for sexual offences.

How can the service be accessed?

Advice and guidance on chat is available from the website. The treatment option is available in the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority, the Western Norway Regional Health Authority, the Central Norway Regional Health Authority and the Northern Norway Regional Health Authority.

Is it possible to access the service anonymously?

The medical records are only visible for the patients and the service. They are obliged to report to the police if a serious crime still can be prevented and is likely to occur. They are bound to report on suicidal risk, weapon possession, children at risk and terrorist threats.
