About the service:

The treatment begins with an initial conversation to assess need and on the basis of the initial conversation, if it is deemed relevant to start treatment, this will be done individually or in groups. The goal of the treatment is to gain insight into an individual’s sexual interest in children, and thus get better conditions for understanding their sexuality and the way they have used their sexuality. The Sexology Clinic is part of the Danish treatment network, which is responsible for the treatment of people who have committed sexual crimes and or who have a sexual interest in children and are tormented by this and want help to stop illegal behaviour.

Treatment can be in Odense, Middelfart, Aarhus and Copenhagen

How can the service be accessed?

Free anonymous telephone counselling service which can also refer to treatment at the Sexology Clinic in person if that is required.
Self referral is also possible.

To what extent is the service anonymous?

The helpline is anonymous – The counsellor has a duty of confidentiality and does not ask for a name. The counsellor can discuss the process for receiving treatment and anonymity during the anonymous phone contact.
