About the service:
PrevenTell is a helpline you can call anonymously if you’re worried about your own or someone else’s sexuality. The helpline—launched by ANOVA — former Center for Andrology and Sexual Medicine—offers timely help and treatment. Since April 2006 they have been examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with sexual disorders, among other things. Those who work at ANOVA are psychiatrists, forensic psychiatrists, endocrinologists/andrologists, urologists, psychologists, psychotherapists, and nurses. As a patient you can come to the clinic by contacting the service yourself or via referral from an outpatient psychiatrist or another doctor. The service offers an opportunity to speak anonymously with someone who has a great deal of professional experience with questions and who can give advice and then help get further treatment if this is something needed. PrevenTell has a network of therapists nationwide who those who require can be referred to.
