About the service:

Offers low-threshold discussion help if suspected of committing a sexual offence or are just worried about own sexual thoughts or actions. Relatives of such persons may also be contacted.

You can discuss your situation and its impact on your life with a professional by phone, remotely or face-to-face. In the discussions, we can also talk about what would help to cope and prevent similar situations in the future.

We can offer personal meetings a maximum of 5 times, after which it is possible to continue working as New Direction individual rehabilitation.

The client work offered is mainly crisis help after an acute sexual violence experience or in a situation where a previous experience has caused a crisis in a life situation. In addition, they offer various groups both face-to-face and in the online crisis center Tukinet.

In the spring and autumn, the Care! unit organises free trauma briefings for clients and their loved ones, providing information on the effects of trauma and practicing symptom management methods. The trauma briefings do not deal with the experiences of the participants, but the main focus is on psychoeducation. If necessary, trauma information sessions with similar content are arranged for professionals subject to a charge.

They organise training for professionals in different fields related to sexual violence and trauma and their effects. It is also possible to consult the unit’s employees on these topics.
