About the service:

StopSO provides specialist therapy across the UK to sex offenders and those who have yet to act on their ‘troubling thoughts’ by taking referrals online and identifying suitable accredited therapists.

Who is this service for?

StopSO aims to prevent harmful sexual behaviour through therapy. Anyone who is concerned about their thoughts or behaviour, or knows someone who is acting inappropriately, can ask for help.
Support and advice is also available to survivors of offending.

How can the service be accessed?

StopSO is reached online through a ‘Request Help’ referral form.

To what extent is the service anonymous?

StopSO is committed to treating each person with compassion and respect and will keep their information confidential as far as able within the terms of the law. Revealing that an offence has been committed does not necessarily mean it will be disclosed to the police, unless there is concern that a specific child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm.
